2012 batch bottled 9/28/12 (day 272). tulip glass.
a - pours deep copper in color, totally transparent, with a thin cap of tan head that lasts for a quite a while. leaves
s - earthy, pine resin, biscuity. pretty weak nose.
t - taste is fleeting. starts off bready and a little spicy then faint herbal and piney hop notes come in. a nice, resinous bitterness hits the back of the tongue but everything cleans up so fast that i'm left wondering where the flavor went. finishes very crisp and dry.
m - lighter in body, slick, medium carbonation, medium co2 profile.
o - at first i wondered why this beer scored so low, then i found out. not exactly the showcase of hop flavor that i was expecting. still a decent beer though. style wise i'd peg it somewhere between a west coast ipa and noble pils. worth a try, but not worth chasing down.
