Appearance: Pours with a straw yellow color with some darker accents of orange. Finger worth of clean white head on the pour which was regenerated by the bright active carbonation.

Smell: Bread and bright sugary malts jump out on the front. Cereal and touches of hops show up on the body. Grains with accents of barley and toasted malts are all over the back end.

Taste: Wow loads of cereal and sweet toasted malts blast all over the palate first. Dried grains and some airy hops are able to shine through on the palate. More saturated sweet malts finish on the palate with a touch of nuttiness lingering.

Mouthfeel: That sweetness is a little over the top here. Doesn't have that signature creamy texture I look for in a kolsch. Dried notes don't really seem to fit either.

Overall: This isn't something I would try again or recommend if you were looking for an American "kolsch". Cereal sweetness is over the top. Not really that drinkable, especially for the style. I'm usually a fan of New Holland but this one is a miss.

The body presents a light gold color with a foamy, fizzy white head; huge carbonation bubbles. Cereal grain aroma with a slightly toasted scent. Mild biscuit flavor with a decent hop bitterness throughout. Medium-light body with a coarse feel due to the huge carbonation bubbles; semi-dry finish.

A rather inconsistent beer as far as overall quality goes. The aroma and flavor are pretty decent, but the appearance suffers from the large, frothy bubbles in the head, and the head quickly fades to a bare wisp. The mouthfeel also comes across as rough and unrefined. Not bad overall, but far from being a go-to beer for the style.
