smoked rye dopplebock 7 weeks in new holland superior rum barrels
Fizzy tan head. Color is a dark caramel brown.
Aroma: lots of malts and rum flavors. Caramel sweetness. Smoked malts. Oak. Sweet dark fruits.
T: more run and sweet fruits. Caramel, toffee, and chocolate malts. Dark fruits, molasses, and smoked malts.
Mouthfeel: smooth ad delicate. Medium bodied with a lower amount of carbonation. Drinks like an old ale. Ends clean with a touch of smoke.
Overall, this was a solid rum barrel aged beer. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Interesting, but quite tasty.
