Appearance: Dark body, but not the most opaque beer I've seen. What is really noteworthy here is the head. It is huge and seems to take hours to dissipate, even when only a little beer is poured at a time. The head doesn't look fluffy, but more mountainous, like it would have a rough texture if touched.
Smell: Sweet oats and dark malts.
Taste: Standard oatmeal stout taste. A little sweeter than some. Still, the taste seems a tad strained somehow. A touch of a metallic flavor.
Mouthfeel: Rich and creamy, but a tad thin for the style.
Drinkability: Full flavor, but not filling. A drinkable stout.
Notes: The style of oatmeal stout seems to be one that would be relatively simple to brew a decent one, but very difficult to brew an outstanding one. This is one in the decent category. It's a good stout, but I would never choose it over the standard of the style, Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

Love my stouts, especially oatmeal stocks. This poured as close to a jet black stout I normally enjoy. There still was a hint of brown which gave me the warm aroma of coffee and chocolate.
The head was small and dark. The first taste was on the small side with nice much of a big stout taste considering the oatmeal fame. The mouthful and finish were much nicer, so I needed to taste it again.
Each taste afterwards, I found more round and soft flavors coming out. Almost like the oatmeal was finally trying to push through.
Enjoyable beer, in the top of the oatmeal stouts I have had
