This is a tasty secret that I don't think gets enough credit out there. Nice and creamy smooth.

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Pours a beautiful, completely opaque, pitch-black color with an eighth of a finger of oatmeal-colored head that dissolved away into a thin halo of foam that gripped the sides of the glass.

Aroma: Very aromatic, with earthy, bready notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark molasses, brown sugar, a touch of tobacco. Very nice.

Taste: Very similar to the aroma. Lots of bready, roasted malt and oats up front, imparting flavors of freshly baked and toasted multi-grain bread, followed by some dark molasses and brown sugar-like sweetness, a touch of smoke, a touch of dark chocolate and a touch of creamy, milky lactose.

Mouthfeel: Slightly chewy and very creamy as there is no carbonation what-so-ever. With an ABV of 5.2%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is an excellent oatmeal stout! Malty, roasty, earthy, slightly sweet, and slightly smoky. I’ll certainly get it again! Highly recommended!

Trying this a few hours after a Dark Horse OS. Different but similar. I've seen this in the aisles for the longest time and just got around to purchasing a sixer.
A: Dark brown with a ruby hue. Head dissipates quickly to a persistant slight layer; no internal ringing lacing occurs - foam comes off clean.
S: Very suble oats (malt?) - not much there.
T: Subtle oats with a muted bitterness in the finish.
M: Low to medium fullness; a little watery but smooth. Light carbonation throughout.
O: Subtlety is key here. It's well blended with no rough edges. A solid pick for the style. Maybe I'm a little jaded, or my expectation was higher, but I feel like something is missing from this craft. Nevertheless, its still a smooth and solid OS just without any frills.

Had another one the next day and let this one sit while prepping dinner. Similar taste profile, but the scent improved (subtle coffee tones picked up). The more noticeable thing, though, was the increase in fullness; especially at the first sip. I increased the Overall score to 4 because of these two factors.
