Family bought me a 6 pack of this as a gift

Appearance: beautiful black motor oil color with a tinge of brown on the bottom

Smell: oats, mollases, toffee, coffee and dark semi sweet chocolate

Taste: caramel malts front end in the back semi sweet chocolate (a chocolate lovers dream)

Mouthfeel: smooth and slippery, a almost water feel but then collides through a sweetooth of nectar really suburb oatmeal stout.

A - Pours almost completely black with a one finger very dark tan fluffy head. Very niceretnention and lacing with this beer as well

S - Aromas of sweet roasted malts, toffee and caramel.

T - Spicier than I invisioned on the front. Very nice. Spiciness is followed by roasted malts with chocolate and coffee. Great tasting Stout

M - A medium body beer with very nice creaminess. Very smooth drinking as well

O - Great outmeal stout. Very drinkable with very nice flavor.

Pours almost a solid black in color with a tan head that laces nicely around the rim. Nice aroma of molasses, caramel and chocolate. Just the right amount of carbonation! Perfect balance of flavor in every mouthful. Too bad I just bought a single one of these as this is one of the BEST Oatmeal Stouts I have had.

A bit thin and not as dark as expected. The pour presents a reddish black color. Not translucent, but you can clearly see the lighter red hues if held to a light. The head is a light brown shade of thick bubbles in various sizes. Creamy looking head with a thick lace.

The scent is what you'd expect...malty with slightly roasted grains. Just a hint of chocolate and coffee.

The taste matches the scent with loads of malt, but caramel malts make an appearance alongside the roasty malts. Coffee and bittersweet chocolate, nothing hop related is present.

It's creamy and smooth initially, then all the bittering agents take over. Full bodied with a mostly dry finish. I was hoping for the creamy feeling to stay throughout, but it's mostly a bitter beer, despite little effect from any hops.

Overall it's a pretty good beer. There's a nice taste and a bit of complexity in the feel. The alcohol makes it somewhat sessionable and being an oatmeal stout, it goes down easily.
