22oz bottle, pours copper in color with a creamy off-white head that holds great retention. Tone of yeast particulates suspended in the body making it very cloudy. Aromas are pleasant with caramel, fresh citric hops, rye bread, grapefruit, pine. Nice balance of flavors - bready malt, caramel, grapefruit, pine. Creamy, medium body, nice balanced bitterness on the finish. I like this IPA. I'd prefer a 12oz bottle, but this was good to try. (446 characters)

Drinking in honor of my dad, a Michigan brewed beer.Poured into an imperial pint glass a deep hazed copper color with a tightly formed one finger off white head that took it's time settling.Aromas of piney hops and sweet biscuit malts, not complex but nice enough.Flavors of piney and pithy citric hops over top of a big sweet caramel base, the maltiness is almost as big as the hops. It's not overly complex but it's packed with good flavor. (439 characters)

A: A medium copper colored ale with good clarity and an off-white head. The head is made of rocky bubbles and fades to a ring of soapy bubbles while leaving some lacing on the glass.

S: A fairly strong citrus and pine aroma from American hops with a moderate, caramel malt note.

T: A strong hops bitterness with a medium-strong citrus hop flavors, again mostly citrus with some pine. The malt brings a little caramel malt sweetness but the balance is fairly bitter. The finish is moderately dry with a lingering aftertaste of hops bitterness.

M: A medium bodied beer with a medium-strong level of carbonation

O: Almost a typical Cascade Hops IPA, with a strong hops bitterness and hops flavor. There is a slight uniqueness to the hops. (740 characters)

Had I seen the overall score on this I would never have picked this up-but hey we're snobs right?!? This sits last on the shelf gazing at Me!, so I take her home-who could resist, cute girl in a hat holding hops, c'mon.

Pours a cloudy honey that clears with a half-inch merengue head. Lacing follows down.

Smell is downright a bullseye. Sweet malt, floral hops, grapefruit pith and modest pine.

Taste is floral hop laying on the tongue and breaths nice through the nose. Really not a lot of malt which may come as a relief to some.

I find this on the lighter side and refreshing-going down smooth. Definitely not a slouch by any stretch. If your looking for a lower malt bill and mild citrusy bitterness, this is it. I say great job boys! (743 characters)

Pours a clear copper color with just over one finger of head that slowly settled to a thin cap. Moderate amount of sticky lacing is left down the glass.

Quite fragrant aroma. Plenty of citrus and floral hop notes. A little bit of toasted, bready malt underneath the hops.

The promising malt bill did not really show up in the flavor. A touch of sweetness but otherwise this is a pure hop display. Citrus rind, orange, and quite a bit of bitterness.

Feels like a substantial IPA. The carbonation is splendid resulting in a pleasant overall texture.

Not an IPA that sets itself apart from a lot of others. Probably would mean more to Michigan beer drinkers. Wish the malt came out a little more ass I believe they used some promising ingredients. (748 characters)
