look: 4.25 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: golden yellow with thin fizzy residual head. Great clarity

Aroma: sour lactic aroma, a little cidery, not a strong aroma overall,

Taste: moderately lactic, very cider like but with a little less apple character and more of a wheaty taste

Mouthfeel: spritzy and light,

Overall: Not bad, very light and spritzy. Wheat and lactic sour flavors are prominent. It does taste a little cidery though. (410 characters)

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, high carbonation, gold yellow in color, clear

Smell: light apple, sour mix

Taste: big lemon, slight sourness, and a touch of apple

Mouthfeel: light body, sour with prickly sourness, high carbonation

Overall: A solid Berliner Weiss beer. Nice lemony taste to it. I have had better in the style, but would not pass this up if I could find bottles of it. (382 characters)

Golden colored with excellent clarity. No head is present whatsoever. I smell pale wheat with a candy sweet tart tartness. The taste is much better than the appearance and aroma would suggest. There's a sour acidic dark grape and blackberry tartness present. I also get a touch of salt and a prominent pale wheat at the back of the palate. The mouth is smooth, dry and highly carbonated. (392 characters)

Beer has a big lemony tart nose, pours hazy straw under a quickly diminishing 1” off-white foam cap. Has a funky, tart, sour, lemony, refreshing palate with light wheat notes. Light and effervescent. (201 characters)

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a deep ruby amber with a moderate amount of bubbles. Slight finger of off white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A sour, tart, and juicy aroma with a scent of lacto yeast and fruits. Upfront scent of funky Brett and lacto yeast giving some vinegar like and acidic hints. Spice hints of white pepper. Big mix of fruit aromas with hints of sour cherries, white grapes, berries, green apples, pear, lemon, and orange. Also some good hints of oak and wood. Malt hints of grains, straw, and wheat. A really nice aroma.

Taste: Like the smell hints at, a nicely tart, sour, and juicy Wild taste with notes of funky yeast, fruits, and oak. Upfront presence of lacto Brett yeast with funky notes of vinegar along with some white pepper and farmhouse funk. Good notes of oak and wood. Fruit notes of sour cherries, berries, white grape, green apple, lemon, pear, and orange. Backing malt notes of wheat, grains, and straw. A really nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a high level of carbonation. Acidic, juicy, puckering, and fairly drying on the finish.

Overall: A really good take on a Sour. Nice mix of funky yeast, fruit, and spice. Really nicely priced too. (1,249 characters)

Mondial 2013 one-off. Average mouthfeel. Hits the style, but not as sour as others I have had in the style. No head on pale yellow body. Bretty Sugary residual flavour. Simplistic but Nice changeup at the fest. Good drinkability and I would try it again. (254 characters)
