Appearance: Clear amber-orange. Head is white and fluffy. Dense and creamy. Drops out after a few minutes and leaves almost no cap or collar. Minimal lacing. Moderate carbonation on the pour.
Smell: Dank and tropical. Peach, tangerine, and weed. Solid blast of grapefruit juice and skin. Super juicy flesh. Solidly floral as well. Malt body offers up some slightly caramelized and bready malts with a solid caramelized sweetness. A touch of peppery hop spice as well. Hints of alcohol through the back. A little bit of papaya. Candied tropical fruit. Ever so slightly woody. Lingering green tree branch with some pine sap as well.
Taste: Weed and pine right up front. Malts are nicely bready with some solid carmelized malt sweetness. A touch of caramel. Some fresh white bread crust, slightly toasted. Hops run a wide range, throwing a ton of tropical fruit. Mango, nectarine, and peach in abundance. Solid bitterness of pine sap, green tree, branch, and citrus pith. Grapefruit juice and rind. Solidly floral with some soft spice from both the hops and alcohol. Slight push of booze through the back of everything. Attempts at balance, but the hop profile ends up dominating a touch.
Mouthfeel: Slightly slick and oily on the initial sip. Medium body with a moderate carbonation. Slightly dry on the finish. Ever so slightly crisp.
Overall: Feeling the urge to make it rain.
This is a true gem. The hop profile is on point and is nicely balanced by the malt. Solid all around and well worth tracking down.

Aroma is the combo of intense dank weed and exploding citrus aroma. Taste of extreme hop burn. Perhaps the high alcohol but it’s not smooth like other 10+ ABV IPAs. Ok but a bit harsh.

From a 16oz can, dated 09/11/23. Served in a NH Pint Days nonic pub glass. Because that’s what was clean.
Pours an opaque, dull orange with a scant half-finger of soft, soapy suds. Retention is unremarkable but does leave a solid sheet of sudsy lacing.
Nose is promising, though. Bready, fruity, robust. Aromas of pineapple, orange and dough.
Taste is boozy, heavy, and sort of all muddled up. Undifferentiated fermented tropical fruits. Not entirely dissimilar to one of those fruity cocktails at a Chinese restaurant or maybe more like spoiled juice but, with a maraschino cherry impaled on a plastic sword…?
Feel is juicy - but juicy like juice that’s been in the fridge too long - and medium bodied with fine, prickly carbonation. A little oily but not like hop oily; more like petroleum slick oily.
Overall, not OH’s finest moment. The can is only what? five weeks old? but tastes heavy, dull and oxidized. Tastes and feels even boozier than its stated 10.5% abv, and totally not in a good way. Sorry.

poured from a 16oz can into a CW snifter. pours a dense but bright and hazy yellow with a fluffy white foam cap. tropical and citrus fruits on the nose as well as some pine. taste follows with a rather sweet note to the finish as well as some perceived alcohol to it, which is expected at 10.5%. it actually carries itself quite well and hides a lot of the alcohol it has to it. but that sweetness on the finish is kind of not my favorite. it’s still good and has a thick mouthfeel. the combination of hops is excellent and executed quite well.

Hazy dark orange and gold hues, light and fluffy head and lacing. Smell is dank and tropical hop scents. Taste is dank and hoppy, slightly bitter, very little malt presence for a TIPA. Big bodied, mouth watering, booze isn’t as in your face as expected from a TIPA. Definitely a New England IPA, and a damn good example of it. Much better than rated.

I was hoping this would be a full flavored, mouth blasting DDH. Sadly, it was your classic triple IPA with not much distinguishing it from other triple ipas.
