Served in a 12oz tulip glass straight from the source in the taproom.

A: Beautiful clear golden body with a thick foamy shaving cream head that slowly shrinks after a minute. One of the first pours from the just-tapped keg.

S: Unbelievable aroma of fresh pine, grapefruit peel, and melon. Very pungent - this baby was one of the freshest IPAs I've yet to try.

T: In line with aroma, this is a bare-bones in-you-face Galaxy bomb. Notes of melon, tropical fruit (I believe the brewer said pineapple - I can see that), and I get a little onion/garlic on the back end. Very nice showcase of the Galaxy hop in a non-single-hop IPA (confirmed with the brewer that Galaxy is the main hop but there are other bittering/aroma hops supplementing)

M: It's an IPA. It prickles your tongue with good carbonation, feels sticky on the way out. It does what it's supposed to do.

O: This is an outstanding IPA that I'm not afraid to admit stands up to most Vermont IPAs. Other Half are becoming my favorite brewery in NYC. No one is making IPAs like these guys in the 5 boroughs. I'd even say they are giving Kane and Peekskill a run for their money. Cannot wait for Green Diamonds to be canned.

The beer has an aroma of grapefruit peel and citrus.

The flavor follows with this grapefruit peel throughout with notes of grassiness and flora. There's a light body, along with stiff bitterness on the finish. It stands out quite a bit and we preferred the Motueka because of that.
