A bright clear orange colour. One inch slightlyly yellowish head that became a slick and then disappeared all together. Some isolated carbonation bubbles. No lacing.

Very malty aroma. Roasted grains and strong honey aroma. Very nice.

Again the grainy malt dominates. Lots of oakiness too with a yeasty taste. Buttery. Grassy hops integrated with the graininess.

Medium to light feel.

I liked the maltiness here but it really needs more carbonation. I will try this again.

Tall can from the LCBO for $2.95

Appearance - Copper colour with an average size fizzy off-white coloured head. There is a low amount of carbonation showing and there is some decent lacing on the sides of the glass. The head lasted for 5 minutes before it began to dissipate.

Smell - Malts, caramel, hops

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and most of the taste is made up of caramel and malts mixed with light hops. There is also a strawberry type sweetness.

Overall - More interesting that their lager, but still nothing to write home about. Maybe a good gateway beer to craft for macro drinkers. I won't buy this again.

500 ml can purchased from LCBO for $2.90 CDN. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - Clear coppery gold color. 3 fingers of lasting off-white head. Very few bubbles rise to the surface.

Smell - Slight yeastiness, grains and grassy notes. Nothing special but tasty smelling.

Taste - A bit malty transitioning to a rather bitter ale. Doesn't seem to have the usual well-rounded full ale flavor. Virtually no elements of sweetness to counteract the bitterness. Leafy and earthy with a touch of a beer flavored soda water feel.

Mouthfeel - A bit spritzy, medium thin body. Dry finish.

Overall - OK ale but wouldn't purchase again.

Clear copper colour under a moderate white head. Settles to a partial film, some lace as you go.

A hint of caramel to the nose, fruity hops underneath. Quite bitter on the palate, some sweetness from malts follows before giving way to dryness and metal. A fair bit of bite from carbonation, not a soft ale.

Drinkable, but won't blow you away.

Copper colour, ring of white head, minimal lace. Smell is a mix of malt and citrus fruits, touches of butter bread, not a ton going on here but its clean and fairly pleasant. Taste is like the nose starts of with citrus and a medium dry bitterness, bready malt and touches of butter leading to a slightly sweet finish. Medium carbonation, medium body, dryish mouthfeel. Pretty good but largely unremarkable, I could drink this again if offered to me though.
