Poured in to a pint glass. Black body. Thin, tan head with no lacing.
Aroma was pretty mellow. Notes of chocolate. Good roasty aroma with a light bitterness.
Good sweetness with the taste. Light roast and some notes of coffee and chocolate. Light, earthy hop finish. Some subtle notes of vanilla. Mild bitterness with a mellow sweetness upfront.
Mouthfeel had a medium body with medium carb. Slight sticky but smooth mouthfeel.
Drinkability was good. Nice flavors and no signs of alcohol.

Picked this one up on a whim the other day at Lukas Liquors. Poured a deep, rich dark brown color with a good, tight tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate and roast. On the palate, this one was medium bodied, with flavors of roasted malt and chocolate.

Beer/Brewery - Two In The Bush Robust Porter/Rockyard Brewing
City/State- Castle Rock, Colorado
STYLE –American Porter
ABV – 6.5%
IBU – 30
DATE – 27 November 2011
SERVING TYPE – 22 OZ bottle
GLASSWARE – Pub Glass
APPEARANCE – Around an SRM of 50, deep and dark brown, with a soda type of carbonation head. In fact it even sounded like a Coke when poured
AROMA- Strong Roasted malts could smell them as poured as well. Touch of dried fruit as well
TASTE – Strong with the roasted malts, hint of burnt as well. A touch of that Dried fruit as in the aroma. There is that metallic taste of a porter as well. Nice espresso after taste.
MOUTHFEEL –Creamy and smooth, not a lot of carbonation as you would think from the Soda pop head.
CONCLUSION – Tasty indeed. Of course this would be a onetime brew, but if you like a good porter and get your hands on this do it!

[Best served in a Nonic Pint glass]
The pour was a very dark brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) light brown creamy head that dissipated to a thin film, which in turn created some very good sheets of lace.
The aroma was of a roasted dark bread malt, a light resin hop and a sweet leathery yeast with notes of chocolate, coffee, molasses and toffee.
The taste was nice and smooth and rather malty with notes of some dark chocolate and molasses from the onset and slowly transformed into a mild bitter-sweet mocha coffee flavor with just a hint of toffee towards the end and a mild alcohol feel that just grabs you at the back of the throat. The flavor lingered for a long while with the mocha coffee taste only being outdone by the alcohol warming sensation at the finish.
Mouthfeel was a just a shade or two below medium in body with a slight watery texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall a very robust and roasty brew with a bold fulfilling taste. A rock solid example of the style.
