Not to be confused with the actual brewery, this rustic little venue is the North Park location. Any trip to San Diego MUST include a venture to this neighborhood - Take the No. 2 Bus from downtown. Belching Beaver - North Park is perfectly situated between Rip Current's North Park tap house and El Cajon Boulevard, where you'll find Eppig, Pariah, Barn and Tiger! Tiger!, the latter being just around the corner. There is somewhat of a hipster scene: man-buns, tattoos and your general lay-abouts, all of whom are very amiable and just looking for reasonably priced brews. They offer about 30 taps of their own, and boast a goodly range of styles. (Plenty of IPAs, naturally.) There is a regular-sized bar accompanied by the ubiquitous plastic stools. There are several tables, few of which are along the large windows looking out onto bustling 30th Street, where the No. 2 will pass to take you to your next stop.

Pretty prime location right i the heart of North Park. As a result, this place can get crazy busy on weekends and it doesnt help that they also get beer-tour buses and those stupid, bike pedal tour carts stopping by throughout the weekend. So plan accordingly. Capacity gripes aside, they offer around 12 beers on any given day and often have beer floats available as well. I can honestly say Ive never had anything but friendly service here. BB offers up a few hoppy beers, a few darks and a couple one-offs of other styles. Its a rare day when you see anything on the menu over 8% ABV, so if youre looking to get torn back, keep trekking.

Inviting tasting room with great outdoor area and fire pits. Beers have decent depth of flavor and modest selection. At their best Their beers can stand up to the upper echeleon of breweries. However that levelis not met on a consistant basis.

I came here after spending some time at Toronado down the street. If you like their beers, this is a modern, clean space to enjoy them. No food sold on premises but you can order from nearby restaurants. I assume bringing your own food is okay too.
I happen to like their stouts, so this was a nice stop for me.

Stopped here with my wife on our San Diego trip. It was a stone's throw from our AirBnB so we figured we'd give it a look. We visited in the afternoon when it was pretty busy. Since we're touring we wanted to sample a few different things so I asked for their 5 beer taster ($15). The guy at the counter had the attitude like I was wasting his time before I even uttered a word and then promptly told me "we don't do tasters when we're busy". Now, some tasting room's have 3/$5 or similarly stupid cheap samplers (I love that), so I would understand that. But, $15/5 isn't exactly some amazing bargain for the consumer. I said whatever, and I ordered a single pint for $7. I waited tables once upon a time so I don't do this lightly, but I left no tip and a note. Good job. You could have had at least $15 of business, whatever pints we'd have ordered and tip, but you had to be a rude jackass. A group that sat down next to us also said something about their not so great experience with the "guy in the backwards Dodger cap".
Could have been a cool time, not so much. Skipped out of their and went on to another of our wide plethora of options in San Diego.
