You have to really want to go here to find it. It's actually less than 3 miles from downtown Main St. Po-town.
I visited this place right after they opened and go back a few times a year.
It's gone from a real earthy crunchy hippie vibe to a BMW's and Range Rovers with vanity plates in the dirt parking area kinda vibe over the past few years. Good for Plan B with so many happy customers leaving with cases of limited edition pricey bottles. Not so great for us locals who liked stopping in on weekends for a glass of Barn Beer or 2.
Limited seating for music events and weekend food trucks makes this a very cool spot to stop if youve never been.
Unique and sometimes truly great ( not for everyone) bee-spit fermented ales that really are special and remarkable depending on your palate.
Differing levels of sour and acidity are best left described by your bar keep or if lucky, Owner/ Brwer (Evan) who may also be the guy playing guitar on stage.
A truly unique Poughkeepsie experience you need to try if you like funky beer in a tranquil farm setting.

Had wanted to check this place out for quite a while and finally got the chance to do so. After traveling down some dark roads to get there I went into the tap room and looked over their selections. The place had a decent crowd despite nearing the closing time. I ordered a few small pours, the vibe was pretty chill and the service was good too. I'd stop back if I were in the area, I thought it was a nice spot.

Truly a farm, we sat outside with chickens and ducks walking around. No fights but they do offer half pours which is a great way to sample their beers. Rustic tap room with friendly service. If you like farmhouse ales, sours and unique funky beers this is a great spot.

This is a true farmhouse brewery, brewing mostly sours, farmhouse/saison, and wild ales...all using their in house yeast, from the honey bees they keep. Great beers, great vibe in the rustic tasting room/tap room...super hospitality and friendly service often offered direct from brewer/founder/farmer/musician/great guy Evan and his wife......out door space, live music, food trucks on warm weather weekends...great place to visit...

Small farm brewery with lots of foeder capacity and killer farm recipes. Cool little vibe on the back roads of NY, nice but small taproom and outdoor patio, and look out for those bees if sitting outside.

Grew up 10mins from their farm and still live locally. It’s amazing hearing what they’ve done with the property and the growth of he business. Owner/Brewer is behind bar from time to time and other bartenders are also super knowledgeable. Come here to escape the big city and enjoy amazing funky beers with a beautiful farm landscape.

Rustic re-habed post & beam barn on a high spot overlooking the 25 acre farm, Plan Bee's brewery / taproom has the warm and inviting feel of rough hewn timber. Substantial wood topped bar stands opposite the entry and seats about a dozen. Upstairs is a large open area that is slated for a stage and recording studio of sorts and has a balcony overlooking the brew house. Down stair is the barrel room and coolship. Technically, the taproom is not officially open as of yet, so I can't rightly comment on the vibe, but the place had me envisioning a rowdy hoedown or a haven for a rendezvous of imbibing mountain men. There were only guest beers on tap, in preparation for a private event, but the bottle of Huitlacoche we shared was typical of the excellent brews Evan is known for. Very enjoyable. I look forward to returning soon.
