Tangerine nose from the Summit hops. Grapefruit & earthy bitterness from Columbus hops. Light malt profile to allow the hops to shine through. Tropical & Dank.

12 oz can was poured into a Saltwater can shaped glass.
Appearance: A two finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy pale yellow orange color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Light citrus, grassy, and herbal hops followed by toasted, biscuity, honey, and caramel malts.
Taste: Same as above. Pretty balanced, light bitterness, and light chewy notes.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium bodied, light bitterness, slightly chewy, and medium carbonation.
Overall: I wish this beer was screaming with hops like the label. Would be a good comparison with Dorado from BP. Next time in Florida will seek out a fresher version. Still good though.

Pours a slightly unfiltered golden orange color with a sudsy white head that caps the beer and provides a nice amount of lacing. Beautiful beer. The nose is tangerines and grapefruit, with a nice bit of caramalt as well, and that’s where the taste lands, with a nice amount of bitterness balanced by the malt backbone.
A nice medium mouthfeel adds to the drinkability and puts this squarely in my “I’d drink it again” category from a new brewery to me.

Can from ABC in Cape Coral enjoyed at home.
Pours a hazy bright yellow with a decent sized head that slowly recedes. Old school feel with a firm bready caramel malt backbone. Citrus and pine with plenty of bitterness to balance.

A decent AIPA if you like AIPAs (I don't anymore.)
So, I will forgo the beer review and instead just do the micro-review that I do during my first beer from a brewer.
SaltWater picked a good town. Delray is the only town that is built exclusively around tennis (and beaches and boating, of course this being Florida.) So, I've been to the Delray tournament and was impressed by this resort town. As for Saltwater Brewery, I'm less impressed by how they intend to distinguish themselves than Delray does. I went on Saltwater's website and it was kinda cryptic. They do a few good guy things for the community and the ocean life; but I didn't get a sense of what their angle is.

Jan 1, 2020 from a can in Key Largo. Not a bad IPA, just a slight more bitter than I prefer, but not complaining because it clearly states on the can it’s bitter. It’s somewhat heavy in the moments after each swallow, so rather filling. Florida craft brewers have come a long way in a few years so I’ll give Saltwater Brewing credit. I’d buy again
