Thanks for the extra Brad! Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a Founder's snifter.

A: Pours a clear solid orange color with a little off white head that quickly recedes into a slight bubbly film. I'm very surprised how light colored the brew is as I was expecting a darker color.

S: Big cracker malts right off the nose, this is the maltiest amber ale I've ever smelled. Slight caramel sugars come off as well with a light fruity note.

T: A little hoppy forefront with a very big malt middle. A mix of bread dough and light cracker. There are also some semi-sweet fruity esters in the mix as well.

M: Medium to light bodied with a semi-crisp mouthfeel. Leaves a nice little bitterness on the palate, but it's short lived.

O: The was a very malty amber ale, but it was still a pretty good. Refreshing, just like the other SA brews.

This was one of the first craft brews I ever enjoyed, since it is made in Houston and that is my hometown. I have been a big fan of Saint Arnold since day one, and have always enjoyed their offerings. This one, however is a bread and butter staple and a very welcome daily drinker in my beer fridge.

12 oz bottle dated 10-17-13
A: Side pour into a beer mug. Creamy off-white head 1 inch thick. Quickly receding. Sticky lacing. Good carbonation. Bubble sizes from foam to 1/16" of an inch. Brown amber in color.
S: Not very strong. Pale malt base, citrus from hops, a bit of bitterness.
T: Very much like the nose. A bit more hoppy bitterness than in smell. Not very complex.
M: Rather light and crisp and refreshing.
O: Not a very complex beer. Certainly very drinkable and nothing is really off with this beer. Good as a gateway beer for a person new to craft brew.
