Pours a dark golden color with a shortlived white head.
Hop and malt aromas are the biggest thing noticeable here, but the deeper you inhale, the more aromas you find, mostly a grapefruit smell.
The taste is good, good hop bite on the tongue, but not overhwhelming to the sweet malts. Nice citrus flavors are present as well. This beer is slightly sweeter than I would like from a red ale, but that doesnt mean its a bad beer.
Mouthfeel is a little too heavy, a slightly chewy feeling. Could use slightly more carbonation.
Overall this is a good Texas beer, goes down faily smooth, tastes nice and crisp with a clean hop bitterness. Something I would buy again, gotta support the Texas brewers, especially when they do a good job.
