Had this on tap at the brewery. Had a decent light brown color with a short head. Not too bad for a spring beer. Decent flavor with decent body. Not too much flavor. Goes down easy and was very nice to drink. But nothing too spectacular as I was expecting more.

A-clear amber color with an off white head
S-sweet caramel malt, nutty, and a slight roast
T-nutty with a good caramel malt taste that goes to a slight hop bitterness that fades back to a roasted caramel malt finish
M-medium body and medium carbonation
O-great flavor, great balance, and a good beer

First off, I have been looking for this brew for a couple of months now. I prefer a more malty ale, with a darker appearance, so I thought this would be just right for me after I fell in love with SA's Oktoberfest but was no longer able to buy it. After reading the description on Saint Arnold's webpage I set out looking and it was definitely worth the wait, and almost reminds me of the oktoberfest brew, considering that SA's oktoberfest is actually an ale.

Poured from a bottle into half-pint glass

A: A deep reddish-copper with good lacing at warmer temps. and a decent head

S: Sweet caramel malt, and slighty fruity, roasted

T: Bready up front, and if warm almost cinnamon, then goes into a caramel malty, then end with a mild hop crispness that doesn't stay on the tongue for long.

M: Medium carbonation, with a creamy head

O: My favorite brew SO FAR from Saint Arnold, and probably my favorite beer to date. It isn't bad chilled, but you get a much more "rounded" experience after it warms slightly.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Reddish brown, with a very thin(almost non) off white head.

Smell: Mild notes of nutty and fruity smell, with mild malts.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste is a mild wood/nutty taste, and some malts.

Overall: I am not really a fan of browns personally, but this one is ok. Not really anything special in my opinion.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass

A: medium copper color, small head, light lacing

S: slightly sweet, touch of fruity odor, odor gives a sense of greater depth than is apparent on the taste

T: Was expecting a more complex depth of flavor, as it warms, it gets a bit of a cinnamon-like finish that is more appealing, would recommend to drink this without chilling in fridge for too long, slightly bitter finish, light hops, not too much of a caramel, or bready taste until it warms a bit

M: medium carbonation

O: Solid brown ale, nothing especially great or earth-shattering, but very good beer to try if you come across it, I wouldn't target this as a must buy
