Serving: 12 fl oz bottle (stamped "07/11/15") poured into a 7 oz Libbey Gibraltar glass; new "Ale Wagger" branding.

Appearance: Clear, medium brown with warm hues and a fizzy, foamy head of tan foam. Nice clumps of streaky lace:

Smell: Full nose of toasty malts, caramel, toffee, slight fruity esters.

Taste: More malt, caramel and slight roasted notes, along with fruit esters continue from the nose. Some leafy, earthy notes add balance, but leaning a bit sweet.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, almost becoming sticky; moderate but soft carbonation.

Overall: Very similar to SA's other mainstream ales. Fully, malty - just maybe a bit sweet to session.

Bottle at 3rd Bar Eating House, Houston Intercontinental Airport (Terminal B), Houston, TX

A: The beer is crystal clear brownish amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with just a few specks of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light aromas of nutty and brown malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has some flavors of nutty malts and a little malty sweetness. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink, but it seems like it could use a little more in the way of malts.
