Poured from a cold bottle to a beer mug

This was the second beer style I drink from Saint Arnolds and beer by beer I am becoming a fun of this brewery.

It is a light beer that pours a nice light color and small white head. It formed some nice carbonation on the glass.

The aroma is of citrusy-like notes. It has a refreshing beer smell.

The taste follows with citrusy and grassy notes, very light malts, and a very clean and light bitter finish. As the name states it, it is a very drinkable summer beer. Refreshing is the first word I think about when talking about this beer.

Overall great summer beer; especially when extremely cold. I have also drunk this from a bottle and my opinion of it did not change. Good Texas beer and that is not just because I am from Houston.

This is what I would call an "American Pils". It's a standard golden color. Pour it vertically if you want any amount of head on it, because it'll be gone in a couple minutes. It otherwise maintains its carbonation throughout. There's very little scent from this. The taste is light and crisp, similar to an American lager. It's just bitter enough to leave a small bit of aftertaste. My personal preference is a pils with big hops. This is on the other end of the spectrum, and you'll want to hammer it down lest it get warm. It's probably worth a putting a six pack on the fridge this summer to see if you like it. I'll be moving on to a good Kolsch or a hoppier Pils, tho' I might just pick up another six of SA Summer Pils.

A: Pours a light golden color with a good head and decent lacing.

S: Grainy aroma with a hint of pine and malt sweetness.

T: taste of malt sweetness with some grain and bit of fruit. Mild bitterness and a clean finish.

F: Light body, nicely balanced.

O: Good summertime beer. Goes best with the hot Texas weather.

Saint Arnold has done it again. They don't mess around when they make a light beer. See Also: Fancy Lawnmower, Weedwacker, Spring Bock. These are all very solid beers which you could hand to a BMC drinker and blow his mind without blowing out his tastebuds.

A: Pure, translucent gold with a solid two-finger head which lingers leaving lacing on the side. Lots of carbonation bubbling up within.

S: Grass! Nice, strong smell of freshly mowed lawn coming off this one. Fantastic for a summer day. Not too complex, but you didn't buy this for a rich feast, did you?

T: Mild, clean gold malt and basic hop bitterness. It's just a simple, clean, well-executed brew--nothing fancy, but very drinkable.

M: Watery and well-carbonated, as you'd expect from the appearance. Clearly a session beer--you can down these fast and easy.

The taste and mouthfeel in this brew are going to seem a bit weak to hopheads and craft beer enthusiasts, but they're cleanly done and come through exactly as intended, with no off-flavors or skunkiness. Pleasant to knock back a couple of these after working in the yard on a summer day.
