A beautiful, deep copper brown ale. It has a full, malty body with hints of chocolate, a touch of sweetness and a light hop flavor. A complex malt character is created by combining five different types of malts. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain.

Pours an effervescent hazel with one finger of tan head. Average head retention & lacing
S: A little toastyness
T: Toastyness, sweet nuttyness & a little woody hop up front. Dryness & toastyness dominate as this warms, plus sweet nuttyness. finishes nutty & dry
MF: Medium body, light carbonation
Solid easy drinking brown, the lack of nose, the only real detractor

Look: A nice brown color; the head disappears very fast though; Smell: Malty, but nothing special; Taste: Here's the surprise, this ale tastes good, caramel, walnuts, malt; rich tasting with no hint of sweetness; Feel: Well carbonated, but not watery. Overall: This is a good brown ale, which I can see myself drinking once in a while.

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a stemless wine glass. Cloudy, light caramel sauce colored body, with a thick white head that settles rather quickly. There is a slight vegetal note upon opening the bottle. Once poured and settled, the aromas and flavors of caramel, dried fruits (prunes, raisins, figs), dark bread, and molasses begin to come through. Slightly sweet, with a medium mouthfeel and a little bitterness on the finish. Very tasty!
