Pours a nice amber color with a slightly golden colored head.
The smell is very typical of the style, hops, with a slight fruity smell.
Id have to say this is the best beer I have had from this brewery. The major flavor here is hops and more hops, saint arnold went all out with the cascades here, not something they usually do. Saint arnold brews are usually slightly sweet to me, perhaps a little flat, but not this one, this beer has a nice bitter sweet blend, and good carbonation. There are some fruit flavors behind the hops that finish it very nice.
Elissa is just slightly too watery in my opinion, not by much, just very slightly, other than that the mouthfeel is great.
Overall I would say this is the best beer saint arnold has made, and I feel it can hang with any other pale ale or ipa made in the us. This may very well become one of my beers of choice to keep around.

No fru-fru review here. Had this beer on tap in an ice-cold glass. Paired outstanding to Kobe-beef sliders with blue cheese. I can think of no other type of beer other than an IPA that can stand up to beef and blue cheese.
Beer was deep gold and hoppy with a smooth swallow and long-lasting bitter-hop aftertaste, even through the blue cheese. Carbonation was mild in the mouth and after swallowing. A seriously full-bodied IPA that will leave a smile on the face of any Hop-Head. Definitely a DFB - Damned Fine Beer.
