A-orange amber color with a nice off-white head and good lacing

S-citrus, malt, hint of sweetness, orange, pine, slight floral

T-bready malt, caramel, grapefruit, orange, pine, hint of floral, moderate bitter finish

F- medium body with moderate carbonation, smooth, alcohol well-integrated

O-decent DIPA, but a little on the sweet side for me

Fresh bomber acquired via trade; thanks, Tim!

A: Pours a fairly translucent orange, with hardly any head whatsoever.

S: Mild citrus and floral hop tones. Not a Texas IPA expert, but this is probably one of the closer things they have to a West Coast-style IPA or DIPA (along with Community's Mosaic IPA, too).

T: Bursts with flavor, but in a subtle way (if that makes any sense). Caramel-y and hoppy on each and every sip. Taste is most apparent when cold.

M: Moderate carbonation and very light and smooth.

O: Great Texas DIPA that remains balanced and light while still packing a fair amount of hop character and alcohol content. If you can get it fresh, highly recommended.

Received in a BIF from FlyingKelly! thanks for the awesome Texas brews.

Appearance is a medium amber, crystal clear brew. Head doesn't leave for a second. Very pretty. Upon first sip, I thought this was a nice little single IPA ranging around 5.5% very balanced with a malt backbone that would make some stouts jealous. Hoppy character with some dank resinous tones. I like the smell.

Taste. Yep, this thing rules. I could drink this over and over. The lightest hop bitterness of a 9.5% double IPA I've ever tasted. It isn't east coast and it certainly isn't west either. It's a great Texas double ipa.

Totally blown away at how drinkable this double IPA is. Worth seeking out if you're in Texas.
