Saint Arnold Amarillo Hefeweizen (Icon Green) has a very thick, fluffy, off-white head, a hazy, quite bubbly, golden appearance, and good lacing left behind. The aroma is of faint sweetness, banana, and spice, and the flavor is of bread, spice, banana, clove, and a touch of tap water. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Saint Arnold Amarillo Hefeweizen (Icon Green) finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and extremely drinkable. Overall, this is a wonderful wheat beer!

A: Slightly hazed golden yellow orange color. Thin layer of bright white. Big bubbles around edges. Good carbonation.
S: Nice Hefe nose: banana and clove and slight bubble gum. But you do pick up more of that bright hop aroma. Some fruity notes. Juicy.
T: Not very bitter bite up front. Expecting more with hops involved. Really getting those banana and clove notes per the Hefe. I think the Amarillo hopping adds more flavor in the mid palate in this one. It's not the traditional Hefe. The finish isn't as expected. Not as dry as I was expecting.
M: Light leading medium. Very sessionable.

Poured this like a regular ol hefe producing a nice sized head(which falls fairly quickly) but there is no reason to do this as there is no yeast in the bottle(whoops). Sudsy white head and a slightly hazy golden yellow body.
The namesake Amarillo hops shine through on the nose bringing a pine and citric orange qualities. Some wheaty notes peek through.
Tastes nice and wheaty for the most part with some spice. The hops definitely aren’t popping quite like the nose but they do provide a good presence.
Drinks nice with a crisp little hit of bitterness. Lighter body with medium carbonation.
Falls a little short in what I like from a hefeweizen. The hops are a nice twist though.

I had to review this one just because its so weird for the style.
A- Its not as cloudy as a lot of hefs, still a dark yellow.
S- The aroma is the main thing that made me review this one. The best way I can describe this smell is like a room that someone farted in and sprayed a tropical air freshener in. Covered up most of the fart, but its still hanging in the background.
T- Tropical, fruity hops (grapefruit, tangerine, miscellaneous tropical fruits, but not many stand out) peppery, random spices.
M- Light body, weird lingering feel, kinda dry.
O- Totally different take on the style, which they did on purpose of course. It's just too all over the place for me. I definitely don't get "hefeweizen" but I also don't get "hoppy wheat beer" either. It's off.. I'd suggest saving your money.
