New modern place in an area with several businesses. Interior is scattered high tables, and there is a small patio. No pretense here, comfy, welcoming. 8 taps, to go product also available.

Apparently I never got around to reviewing Todd Mott's brewery. It is located in a strip mall type complex with a restaurant and post office so the parking is beyond ample. Nice almost cozy vibe inside with growlers to go. People there are always friendly and quick to serve/answer any questions. Typically 4-6 beers on tap available for flights, samples, full pours, and growler fills.

Always try to come up twice a year for the special Mott The Lesser release where they have a large tent setup for outdoor drinking and always runs smoothly and efficiently. Definitely worth stopping at when passing through the area.

Pretty average tap room in a strip mall next to the Post Office. Small patio which was full on a really nice summer day.

On the Sunday afternoon I visited, a folk singer was playing to an audience of mostly hippie types.

Service was fine, prices were reasonable.

Beer was good - with the same yeast strain (Chico?) from Todd's days @ Portsmouth Brewing. Didn't expect any crazy types of beer and didn't get any - just solid interpretations of classic styles. The Porter (seemingly a forgotten style) was the best of the lot.

Not a destination per se, but worth quick visit if you're in the immediate area.

Service was very good, with a very nice bartender willing to spend time going over the options available. the brewery was not in a very attractive location, but was relatively close off 95.

Came expecting great things, having heard of their limited release parties. Went on just a regular Sunday, no special release. Interior is clean, kind of the typical microbrew/taproom. Had beers and growlers in fridge. Got a flight - wasn't terribly impressed. All seemed like basic variations of common styles - none of the beers jumped out to us and they were pretty forgettable as soon as we left. I keep forgetting that I've been here and I was not expecting that.

While the location, as part of a strip-like mall which shares the same location as the postal office, is deceiving on the outside. On the inside is a cool inviting interior, short bar with some seats but plenty enough area with tables, construction of a deck is well underway and should be a good addition for this summer. Large glass windows provide a good view of the brewing area.

Quick attention from the bar service and all workers are willing to chat it up.

Cooler is full of pre-filled growlers. Four beers on tap, as well as in growlers, with two older beers also available in the cooler.

Another cool brewery to add to the list of places to visit when heading through the area.

I just got back from the Mott the Lesser release, my second time for the release, and third time here. Great little tasting room, food trucks outside and live music inside. The beer is top notch, service is very attentive, even with a line around the corner I never wanted for beverage. Pricing is about what I've come to expect, its a bit pricey but for the quality I gladly pay what they ask. I'll be back!

Place is fairly spacious, pretty quite when I was there but it was mid week. Small bar with four beers on tap. Glasses and shirts to be bought. Very nice owner and wife. Nice place to visit.

Easy to get to, somewhat limited selection but friendly, prompt service. Haven't found a go-to from them yet but their IPA is borderline great.

Went on Beer Safari in Boston and back/forth to Portland. Many good places, many good people, and many good beers. What a great beer people/beer friendly area. Had finished the tour at Allagash, and a few of us headed over to Bissell Bros and Foundation. Here I heard that Todd ("Kate the Great") Mott had opened up a place in Kittery. Well Tributary got added to the check put list on the spot.
Sigh....what an amazing place. Absolutely my favorite stop on my trip.
The vibe and the people were just so easy going and so happy to be there. Even Ashley ( behind the bar) said she loves to work there on Sundays. Sat between Fred and "Ziggy". Two very cool guys from two very different places...and yet they fit in so well and both made me feel like I was a friend to sip and chat with.
After visiting many other places that didn't have a bar...it was great to be able to sit at bar and talk about beer and learn about the area you're visiting.
Place is open and fresh, clean and comfortable. Plenty of seating besides the bar. Open area for musicians. Nice little swag shelf, And great glass wall view of the brewery.
Then you throw in that brewmeister, Todd, will stop by and talk beer and more. Talking everything from old times (Harpoon) to Modern Times (... brewery we're both impressed with). Ashley talking up how cool things are here...and happy to talk about her San Diego days as well...and empty Modern Times cans. Ziggy talking about hiking and sleeping in the great outdoors. Fred talkin up the beers, the brewer and the area.
Toss in great Yellow Lab and some very good Sunday afternoon live music..........
Oh and stay way too long because besides all of this...the beer is GREAT.
Don't be unimpressed if you see APA, porter, mild ale, etc. Todd's versions are poster children for how each of these styles should be made. Then to hear him talk about the barreling and orchestration of ingredients for his Mott the Lesser...and plans for the next brewing of it...This is a craftsman at play.
You are missing a lot if you don't stop by Tributary.
Great place...great people...great brewer...great beer...great time!
I may live 490.6 miles away...but I can't wait to come back :)

From the staple pale ales to the porters, stouts, milds, gose, and especially Mott the Lesser, a top quality brewery from the New England legend -- Tod Mott.

Great local music too. Super spot to hang and chill for a bit.

Great place. Todd Mott is often wandering around, helping with brewing, pouring, whatever needs to be done around. The beers are pretty good, nice staple styles as well as some experimental stuff, of course Kate... er I mean Mott the Lesser is always fantastic.

There were 4 or 5 beers on tap, all from the brewery, with pours, flights or samples all available. Typical brew pub like decor, signage, fun things to look at, nothing disturbing to look at. Decent size with nice tables around, and nice bar to sit at. Big open space, with nice view of the brewery behind it. Everyone was friendly, including the dog. Great place to visit, probably a staple for me to hit up whenever i drive up north.

Stopped by over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Not the easiest place to find, being tucked way in the back of the lot. Nice place inside. Great set up, with lots of space, tables and couches, a comfy bar, and large glass windows to see the whole brewhouse. Both female bartenders were friendly and quick. Just had a quick sample of the American Mild and bought a growler of the Fleur de Leigh to go. Growlers and 1/2 growlers for sale, plus some merch. Prices were a bit high, but not outrageous. That was on a Friday. When I opened the growler on Sunday, it was completely flat. Bummer.

The brewery is located off of route 235 next to the post office in Kittery , ME.

It's a simple place selling flights and glass of four recently made, beers on tap. The brewery is next door behind glass. You will likely see Todd Mott working, greeting friends, and being hospitable. There is a refrigerator of growlers available brew.

This a place of wysiwyg--what you see is what you get. Friendly and informal.
