I was happy that this place opened after the second Barb's Beer Emporium failed here. And I knew it would take some work at this location to make it successful, after Barb's failed. Unfortunately, not sure it's going to happen.

Went in not too long after it opened, and the selection was good. Most of the NH brands were well represented. I picked out a bunch of stuff, talked to the owner briefly, who seemed like a nice guy. I asked him about kegs, and he said he'd have a list soon. I gave him my email address and told him to email me when they had them.

Didn't hear anything, and about a month later, I visited their site and noticed they were now saying they could get kegs. I needed one for the kegerator, so I emailed them through the site asking if they could get 2-3 different kegs from breweries listed on their site.

About a week went by, and I had no reply. I ended up going in for some sixers and talked to the owner again, and told him I had emailed him about kegs. He said something about not having access to the "computer in the back" and said he'd get back to me. That was a month ago.

If you're going to open a beer store in a location where a beer store previously failed, you've got to do something to set yourself apart. So unless you're giving beer away, the differentiator has to be customer service. I can get 90% of the stuff they have here at the East Derry Market, so I'm not sure I'd make the drive to Londonderry at this point.

Went in today and caught the man behind the counter right in the middle of lunch. He greeted and apologized and left his lunch to show me the store. He helped me for 40 minutes and was great to speak with. I was in there for so long, my wife came in and gave me the stink eye. Luckily there were chocolates by the register so that helped cork her cry-hole. Actually the best customer service I've had at any store ever. Great selection, reasonable prices and friendly, knowledgeable staff make this the best beer store I've been to.

Stopped by this place yesterday and was impressed. They have a good variety of beer and some local wine as well. The place just recently opened, and the store is nicely renovated from the former Barb's Beer that operated here. The owner was the one running the counter when I stopped in, and he was very friendly and willing to take some time to talk about the different varieties they carry, and the business itself in general. The "lazy dog" theme relates to the rescue dog that the owner adopted last year, and the "dog house" beer cave he built is a really nice touch. I'll definitely be returning when I'm in the area.

I stopped here the other day because I was in the area and hadn’t been yet. This shop opened in what used to be Barb's If you can make your way to MR Steer you’ll find it, it’s right in front. Pick up some marinated steak tips while your there too. The selection is really good, they seem to carry most of what is available in NH. Lots of singles, a walk in beer cave, etc. They have a small selection of food and condiments as well as some home brew stuff. Service was good, the woman at the counter was ready to help if I needed and the vicious dog behind the counter was ready to tear me apart if I even thought about shoplifting. ;) Pricing seemed average to a hint high to me. If I lived in the area I might stop in more often.
