This is a small but excellent little shop located about 20 minutes by train or car south of London. There is a moderately interesting bottle selection, with some fairly esoteric British ales as well as a good offering from Belgium and a handful of Germans. Prices on the bottles are pretty good (a Sam Smith's impy stout was mine for £2.50), and they are a good place to find seasonals.

But the real draw (for me, anyway) is the real ale sold by the jug. The usually have about five casks on offer at any given time, and you can purchase it in 4.5- or 9-pint jugs for a very reasonable price (about £2-2.50 per pint). The catch is that you have to drink it in a day - but that shouldn't be too much of a problem in the case of the 4.5-pint jug.

Service is knowledgeable and friendly. Certainly worth an occasional visit, as they change their stock often!
