Lactose gives body and balance to this milk stout. Aromas of coffee and chocolate, with just a hint of roasted barley, are complimented by a smooth body, with a mocha flavor, and a total absence of bitterness or astringency.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is jet black, with a creamy, dense, tan head. Nose of roasted coffee, with a tangy cream highlight. Flavors are heavily roasted coffee forward, with a chocolate backbone, and sweet cream highlights. Very nice. Smooth and velvety bodied, with a sweet and roasted bitter aftertaste. Smooth, dry finish. Good beer!

Poured into a 10oz glass pitch black with deep khaki colored head atop.Coffee, brown sugar, and dark fruits in the nose with a tinge of char as well.Great flavor profile with dark fruit and heavy roast standing out,the lactose gives off more sugary sweetness,a nice drying earthy roast in the finish. This was my favorite beer of the three I tried at Pig Pounder, really good stuff.
