Brewed with Columbus, Centennial, Mosaic, and Citra hops, then generously dry-hopped with more Mosaic and Citra for luscious tropical fruit aromas. Soft pine and a touch of citrus open the palate, and though no fruit is used in this brew, you'll find a burst of blueberry, mango, and papaya in every sip!

A: Pours a relatively clear medium to dark golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate amber + burnt orange + orange + golden yellow + copper colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film covering approximately 20% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith + citrus/grapefruit rind + citrus/tangerine + pine/resin + herbal hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel + honey malts with moderate amounts of caramel + honey sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel + honey malts with moderate amounts of caramel + honey sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith + citrus/grapefruit rind + citrus/tangerine + pine/resin + herbal hops which impart a light to moderate amount of aggressive lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with some light dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp + dry mouthfeel. Enjoyable with pleasantly aggressive lingering bitterness and classic citrus + pine + herbal hop flavor and aromas. A touch sweet for my preference.

One of the better wcipas I've had. And I really like the style. Golden hued body, thick white merangue on top. All pine and grapefruit on the nose, Citrus pith, grapefruit rind, and a strong tangerine juice note throughout. It gets a bit hot as it warms up. But what a great beer. Enjoyed on tap at mariot anaheim after a day of travel and an afternoon at hunnington beach.

No canned on date. Poured into a Pinot noir glass.
A: Medium amber with short-liver light beige 1-finger head with short retention and minimal lacing.
S: Excellent classic DIPA aroma with pine, grapefruit-orange zest, resin, and light caramel. Clean without esters.
T: Flavor bursts with orange, grapefruit, and tangerine citrus with solid accents of pine, honeysuckle, and resin. Malt is secondary but shows some light caramel and light sweet pale qualities. Bitterness is high but not aggressive - just a nice undercurrent in the background. Clean without yeast character. Alcohol provides warming and a little fruitiness.
M: Medium body with moderate carbonation and dry finish.
O: Excellent classic WC DIPA - it delivers the old-school hops aromas and flavors without totally sacrificing the caramel notes but keeping them light and harmonious with excellent feel and dry finish that makes it hard to put down despite hefty 8.5%. Great beer that I am glad I found!!

Darker golden colored and almost see through with lots of bubbles rising and a white head with staying power. I get the wizzy comments but I actually really like the nose, I’d rather term it fruity and dank. Less fruity at the start and more piney and bread malt. There is fruit in there and some cattiness too. Decent creamy feel and well carbonated for the style. It’s got a lot of alcohol and a bit of heat on the edge but it’s pretty well hidden. Glad to try this but not exactly to my tastes for an Imperial. Good feel and decent look though.
