Pours a nice deep red/copper. great clarity. Fruity aroma. Tastes of fruit (raisons and cherries and currents). Overall a very tasty beer. Very settling.

Clear, copper hued body with a small off white head and scant lacing. Dried fruit infused malty aroma along with modest sweetness. Picking up some alcohol when the glass is nearly empty. Taste remains focused on the malty, dark fruit, dried fruit aspects. Herbal, spicy hops add contrast. Medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel. Not rating this one to style, simply to enjoyment.

Not malty enough, lacking that Belgium yeastiness both in taste and aroma.

A tad different than your average Dubble.
It has a toasty Vienna malt taste to it, light on the Belgian character, but not in a bad way.
It's got the proper color, very little head, and fine carbonation.
This is a Belgian Style beer you can easily drink while fishing, by the pool, or any gathering.
It's lighter in body than expected.
Overall, I really enjoy it, as it seems to have a nice day finish that leaves you wanting more.

L: cloudy copper
S: opening the bottle first hit is licorice, followed by cherry.
T: cherry, figs don't come through so much, licorice and malt undertones. Finishes with chocolate and molasses.
F: lingers on the palette nicely, with mild carbonation at the start of the glass
O: very pleasant dubbel from one of my favorite breweries.

Who knew that adding figs to a beer would smell and taste so good?

Well it does. Great dark-red, copoer-ish coloration, and one of the most unique smells I have come across, at least, in a while. Mouthfeel is well carbonated and the taste has a malty sweetness that is tempered by the hops used. Overall, this is truly great, I’m glad I still have a few more on hand.

Clear brown ale with a small brown color that doesn't last.

Smells sweet and of coriander and brown sugar. Floral hop scent more like a Saison. Scent of burned sugar and cardamom. Ethanol fumes and black pepper.

Starts out sweet, malty and a bit bitter. Tastes a bit like a Bock beer. Caramel and brown sugar with a strong coriander taste. About it for taste. Think Bock + coriander.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Overall it is OK, but not memorable.

When Poured from a bottle this Belgian style ale has a Lacey head clear dark amber color. It has a malty sweet aroma. It has a subtle fruit cherry taste as it passes the palette. With a Slight chocoholic sweat finish. It is a good over all flavor and one i would go to again.
