Poured from a bottle into a Victory Tulip.

Appearance: A hazy amber body with a very thin head that barely makes it up a full finger before it vanishes.

Smell: Light hints of passion fruit hit me up front with nice floral and grassy notes working their way in. The nose is very tropical and pleasant but also very subtle.

Taste: I get mango and bright lemon flavors up front. There is a nice floral element here as well. The hops eventually yield to a nice malt sugarness and the slightest bitterness. This is a very nice IPA. Nothing over the top but instead, a very balanced taste which takes care of my hop fix.

Mouthfeel: I thought there was just a tad too much carbonation here. It took away from some of the more subtle flavors.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into Samuel Adams pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber (extremely light orange/gold in the light) with a two-finger off-white head that takes awhile to dissipate. Generous lacing is left on the glass.

Smell: Grapefruity hops, slight malts, not strong at all though.

Taste: A nice balanced combination of hops and malt, but seeing as I got this as a single, perhaps it was an old bottle (can't find a date), as the hops and malt flavors seem to have faded, and there is a tiny bit of metallic taste at the finish. Not overly bitter at all.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied and moderate carbonation, it works with the flavors.

Overall: Certainly not a bad beer, but perhaps I need to try this again, because if the flavors didn't seem so faded it may have been better.

Received in trade from mdaschaf, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a huge bubbly white head that shows great retention and lace. Smells of earthy and citrusy hops, with a bit of bready malt, some mineral aromas, and a bit of yeasty funk. Taste is a nice compromise between malt and hop. Earthy citrus meets bready mineral water and a hint of yeast funk. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation and a slick mouthfeel. Meh. This one is ok, but there's either some wild yeast working in this bottle or the beer was kept on the yeast too long after fermentation. No bottle dating so there's no telling how old this bottle is.

A hazy light coloured amber with little head or lacing. An odd "soda" mouthfeel with much small bubble carbonation in the mouth.

Muted aroma of caramelized malts with a hint of pineapple in the background. Flavours of malts and fruits as expected from the style. Lingering bitterness is pleasant, but lacking the hop finish for which I'd hoped.

Perhaps I've been unlucky with this bottle and will become enamoured with my remaining 5 - in which case I will change this review accordingly!
