12oz bottle.

A- Pours a hazy golden color with a thick white foam head that leaves good lacing. A decent amount of sediment is seen floating around.

S- A little clean and lacking hop aroma for an IPA, even an EIPA. Some faint toasted grain and a touch of alcohol.

T- A nice hoppy bitterness initially with a sweet grainy finish. Biscuit malt and light caramel flavors help to balance out some of the bitterness.

M- Medium bodied with good carbonation.

O- Overall a decent brew.

This was served from the tap at The Office in Montclair, NJ. The beer arrived in a flared pint glass. Glowing a golden amber color, this drink sported a one finger tall tan head. Retention was good, leaving sticky, spidery lacing down the sides of the glass. There was the slightest haze, and carbonation appeared medium. The nose showed massive piney hops, medicinal phenols, apricot, and raspberry sweetness. These fruity inclusions really popped. On the back a lemon cleanliness appeared, along with some fusel booze and nail polish remover. Our first impression upon sipping was that this guy showcased a nice hoppy variety. As we sipped coppery caramel malts hit first, with a rich balance from juicy and piney hops. These were nicely sweet and fruity. The middle peaked with a bitter piney resin, with fresher earthy hops mixing in. The grain here was souring, with lemony freshness as in the nose. We finished on sweeter notes of honey, floral hops, more lemon, and caramel and pale malts. The end was well balanced and sweeter than the rest of the taste. The aftertaste breathed of that same hop cone earthiness, metallics, and a hollow chemical bite. The body was medium, and the carbonation was medium. A grassy astringency was streaked down the tongue, with a soft and creamy coating following each sip. Slurp and smack were nice, and the beer was easy drinking. Abv was appropriate.

Overall, what we enjoyed most about this brew was the insane fruitiness in the nose. These notes blended beautifully and sweetly with big piney hops. The following taste was almost as nice, but all the components become a bit muddled by the end with all of the stark flavorings crashing together. Strong effort for the style, and always happy to drink local.

Pours a almost clear burnt orange color with a tight half finger head. This beer leaves rings of lace on the glass. The aroma is of citrus notes along with a herbal smell and a touch of dark fruit sweetness. The taste follows suit with a citrus and herbal flavor up front. This gives way to a dark fruit sweetness and then a very slight earthy bite. The mouthfeel is low to moderatly carbonated. Overall it is not bad. A nice blend of hops and malt, enjoyable but not great.
