Appearance: Mostly golden, slightly warm, fairly clear (a few flakes from bottle conditioning sediment). Nice white, slightly rocky head, nicely laces with time. Appealing.
Smell: Resin, citrus, biscuits, banana skins, honey. A little candy sugar like booziness. Well balanced. Again, appealing.
Taste: Clean malt backbone, classic fat Pilsner and candy sugar fruitiness. Hop bitterness is forward a little as I would expect in an "American Trippel". Cypress needles and citrus zest hop notes.
Mouthfeel: Again, true to the Belgian archetype. Medium light, slippery, creeps off style with the astringent finish, but you'd expect it with the hop profile.
Overall: Damned impressive. Best of a cleanly brewed Belgian Trippel and bracing American DIPAs brought together. I really like it, and will be getting more.
