Had on tap on 1/9/14 at Lures
A-Pours a cloudy pale orange color with a one finger head. Decent lacing.
S-Nose of citrus and floral hops, honey malt, and light cheese.
T-Taste is of pine, sweet caramel malts, some fruit and some resin. Not unpleasant, but understated.
M-Mouthfeel has medium bodied and a bit sticky. Finishes more to the sweet side of bittersweet, with the caramel and the sweet fruits overwhelming the citrus.
O-Overall a great DIPA the rice I think is a nice ingredient

Exit 16 pours a bright, clear, straw yellow color with a small sized head with okay retention and leaves low lacing. Smells of dank hops, grapefruit, lemon, and bread.
You can really taste the citra hops in this one. Taste starts with dank citra hops and grapefruit, then moves to tangerine and lemon, with a bready, dank, grapefruit finish. Mouthfeel is light for a IIPA with above average carbonation, has a bit of creaminess. Usually I would like a fuller bodied IIPA, but the lighter body on here work with the flavors.
