750mL bottle poured into tasting snifter. thanks to acviencko for sharing.
Pours a clear auburn with cherry red tones, a nice sized frothy white head with decent film and lacing.
The nose felt somewhat muted, although notes of sticky hops, caramel malt, and a bit of citrus poked through the clouds.
Nice bitterness up front with grapefruit and pith. More tropical fruit with sweetness and dry bitterness. Bready malts and caramel stickiness add a solid base. Nice hop bite in the finish followed by very faint alcohol warmth.
Medium bodied and carbonated, sticky and dry on the tongue. Drinks really nice, and the alcohol is almost invisible. Definitely a solid example of a hoppy amber - this is probably one of my favorite Exit Series beers so far.
