A: reddish amber, not much of a light tan head

S: Mild pine

T: caramel up front, but the piney hops quickly take over. Not overpowering; hop balanced. Clean finish, not too bitter

m: medium weight, appropriate to the style.

O: A good, balanced beer with noticeable hops but not too bitter. Sessionable as long as you aren't weak. Overall, a solid beer, worth trying. Although its a one-off, I would drink again if they made more.

Beer on draft at Churchkey. Beer is dark amber / red with a thin off white almost tan head, some lacing, moderate carbonation.

Aroma is very hoppy, strong in my face, good cascade and chinook hop presence.

Beer is medium in body and sweet with a nice malt backbone, almost munich and crystal in body but very hoppy with only moderate bitterness on the backend. An interesting little beer, I might have it again.

From Flying Fish's website: Red Fish is a west coast hoppy red ale. Columbus, Chinook and Cascade hops give the beer a robust piney nose. Two-row, crystal and cara-red malts give the beer a malty background and a 7% abv.

Pours a lightly hazed burnt copper color, moderate cap of off-white froth, little lacing. Scent brings a moderate hop profile with parts piney and grassy, backbone is lightly sweet, faint caramel, hints of spicy rye. Taste leads with firm piney hoppyness with splashed of grass and citrus, follows with moderately sweet caramely malts, , light toasted husky grain notes, faint splash of spicy rye (surprised to see the website doesn't list it as an ingredient). Body is medium, finishes quite dry for the sweetness present in taste. This beer was a pleasure to drink as it was quite balanced between hoppy and malty. One of the better non-exit brews from Flying Fish.
