The addition of rye to the traditional malt bill of Pilsner malt and White wheat lend additional spicy notes to the coriander, black pepper and grapefruit peel.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderately strong aromas of peppery spices are present in the nose along with hints of grapefruit peel.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of peppery spices and has underlying hints of grapefruit peel and wheat.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and somewhat dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite spicy for the style and in some aspects seems like a hybrid between a witbier and a saison.

Pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a dissipating white foam head. Smells like beautiful floral coriander, hint of funk, spicy rye and black pepper, lightly fruity grapefruit peel, and soft vanilla-esque wheat and pilsner malt notes. Tastes subtle, mildly tart and refreshing with fresh flowery coriander, black pepper spice, rye grain, sweet pale malts, wheat, a touch of vanilla, banana, some grapefruit peel, with floral earthy hops. Feels crisp and light, creamy medium bodied with smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a nice witbier with rye, coriander, black pepper and grapefruit peel.

My daughter gave me this as an unexpected Christmas present by finding me some NYC brews that maybe I can't get here in Ohio (she was wrong on Evil Twin Biscotti Break but her heart was in the right place; kids, what are you gonna do?). Poured into a Nonic glass with a large head that stuck around and coated the sides. Had a citrusy smell and taste but some other flavors competed for attention. A good wit.

L: Pours a very hazy yellow-orange with a large head. Very lively with pretty good foam retention.
S: Yeasty with dry Belgian ester notes, some citrus and a little bit of discernable rye. Peppery, with grapefruit pith as it warms.
T: Only moderately dry, with some sweet bread crust-like malt. Citrus forward, with traditional witbier yeasty notes and pepperiness. Long finish with some Belgian malt.
F: Medium body with lively, mid-level carbonation. Pretty creamy mouthfeel, particularly for the style. A touch of warmth in the finish from the black pepper.
Thoughts: Not bad but not my favorite offering from Transmitter. Really nice on the nose, but could be a bit drier with a lighter body for increased drinkability.

The beer comes in a hazy light gold.
The aroma offers grapefruit peel, slightly tart.
The beer is doughy and chewy, gentle oily citrus pee, a grainy sweetness, vanilla, white bread, dry peppery finish.
