Loads of flocculation when i poured this month old can into a pint glass made this an unintended hazy. Coppery gold color with a light but lingering white head. Nose is subtle citrus; orange marmalade on rye toast comes out on the tongue, with underpinnings (pinings?) of pine. Touch of caramel, too. Drinks like an ipa from 2007, which is neither complementory or derogatory. Full mouth feel and body is reflected in the 7% abv. Pleasant when consumed alongside spicy food

This is my favorite offering from Warped Wing, out of Dayton.
They did a masterful job wrapping a spicy rye malt, and balanced it with a citrusy hop finish. This 75 IBU IPA has a sweet fragrance and finish; no afterburn here.
Worth your while if you're a dry rye hop-head.

Brilliant perfect amber with a minimal carbo-frothy head.
While cold, nondescript aromas hinting at passionfruit, mango, maybe a red fruit, like strawberry but milder, are faintly present. There is a spicy hop character as well.
Once this warms, it opens up a lot more, to apple pie. Yes, straight up apple pie, including the crunchy, flaky crust. This is possibly the result of the nicely brewed rye combining with the spicy hops.
These aromas flow well into the flavor, with a bit of pumpernickel.
Medium bodied, with fizzy carbonation.
This beer is certainly intriguing, and I can imagine someone very well versed in the intricacies of hops either loving or hating this beer, due to its complexities and odd combinations.

I received a can as a gift and poured it into a pint glass. Though I really like rye IPAs, this one doesn't have a lot of rye flavor. The brewery told me electronically that it uses about 15% rye malt. It is OK as an IPA.
