I buy my groceries across the street from here and just recently noticed the "Hell's Kitchen Brewtique" over there. This place used to be a crappy deli; it still is, but now cleaner and with better beer. The clientele hasn't changed much, though. It is a mixture of hobos, gambling addicts and soda drinkers. Lottery tickets are the biggest seller here.

But they're riding the craft-beer wave and they do it pretty good. You won't find anything exceptional here, but it has got a lot of good, everyday beers. On packs, I saw Allagash, Big Eddy, Spider Bite, Founders (six brands), 16 Mile, Flying Dog, Lagunitas (eight brands).

A bunch of bombers as well, including Brooklyn (Black OPS!), Chimay and other Belgians, Lagunitas, Sam Adams, Goose Island, Bear Republic... unfortunately, most of the beer is stored at room temperature. The coolers have mostly BMC stuff.

I can't say much about the value because there is not a single beer here with a price on. I did buy a 4-pack of Bourbon County months ago that was well-priced at 25 bucks. Service is nice, the guy always says hello and asks me if I need anything. They take orders and special requests as well.

Very nice shop, which carry actually not a lot of beers, due to size issues, they are just limited in places in shelves and store size, but they have half in fridge which I find pretty rare in some stores in NYC. Their selection for import and original beers is very nice, from France, Belgium or England. The people in their are very nice and know their beer, especially if you can find the manager of the beer section, he is very nice and give good advices to customers. This shop is getting better and better.
