Absolute watery mess and a few more words to meet the minimum.

DATE: April 9, 2021... OCCASION: finishing up spring break week (proper) with another AE beer I'd been hunting for--thanks for canning and circulating, Heide and Erik!... GLASSWARE: HopDevil nonick... fizzes out of a sixteen-ounce can, offering a golden yellow body that builds a foamy, soapy, snow-white head via teaming effervescence... the glass is transparent with a bit of filminess due to its activity... the lemon grass is reminiscent of a light lager or pilsner, while garden herbs and leafy hops create a light, organic allure... light cracker malts suggest an ignorance of balance--no insult there... lively and swift through the mouth, with a buzzing at the teeth and a refreshing, lithesome exit at the throat that finishes almost as a lager... frothy on the lips, but overall, a softer rendering of the style... I like the mouthfeel more out of the can than out of the drafts I have had in the past--though none of those were at the brewery... the favor profile is a bit of an adjustment--the lemon grass is there, along with some fruity esters--especially apple and pineapple--with hay and candied sugars... the malts give an uneven flavor to the finish... a bit metallic but also refreshing, this is agreeable enough to be a bar stool companion but doesn't push the needle if enjoyed alone....
