Half pint served by handpump into imperial glass at local wetherspoons.
A- Murky copper body, with 1 finger coffee coloured head that produces average lacing and head retention leaving a faint crown after a few minutes. Clarity is poor.
S- A slight plumminess, whisky note, assertive hop presence - almost sour with a faint coffee note.
T- Hint of malt in the beginning quickly overpowered by a citrussy hop note that turns to a very dry white wine like astringent finish.
M- Thin and low carbonation
D- Poor, the hop presence is assertive to the point it almost tastes like vinegar in the finish. Poor aesthetics and mouthfeel also make this an ale to forget.
