Mid orange color. Nice lacing left with above average head retention.

Juicy orange citrus aroma.

Fun pithy citrus flavor. Biscuity sweet finish. Very easy drinking.

Well carbonated, medium mouthfeel

Nice and pleasant ipa here. Wouldn't mind having it again. Thanks egrace84.

Wow, a new Ohio discovery for me, Columbus IPA. This is a robust AIPAwith a slightly extra yeasty taste on top of the requisite over the top hops.

This great stuff is pretty darn cloudy. It also has an excessively dry afertaste. But these are part of the unique character.

I can't believe I never heard of this brewery before today, but man, this is a great find. I will seek this out to buy again.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz bottle. Picked this up at The Anderson's in Columbus on the way from PA to St. Louis.

Pours a nice hazy light orange with some nice golden hues. Love the haziness. There is a nice 0.5 inch white head that is quite dense and slightly frothy and creamy with some chunkier bubbles mixed around.

Aroma is exquisit. Nice grapefruit and tangerine notes with some good tropical mango as well. Grassy, herbal and flowery. Very fresh aroma. There is a nice toasty and grainy background behind the hop commotion that provides somewhat of a a balanced character. Nice pale malt notes

Taste is excellent. Tons of citrus juice, composed of grapefruit, some orange rind and slight tangerine notes. Slight tropical mango and papaya as well. Very well balanced with nice bready and earthy grain notes that also lend some malty sweetness. Great refreshing crisp body with some surprising heft to it. PErfect for the style.

Very good brew. Believe the hype Columbus IPA is one of the better IPAs out there. Very well balanced with great hop flavors that shine on their own but pl;ay perfectly with the earthy and bready grain. Im sad I only picked up one six pack.

Thanks to RocPorterFanatic for the bottle. Excited to try this one...

Pours exactly as described on the bottle - hazy orange, translucent. One finger of orangey whitish head, okay retention, great lacing.

I'm loving the citrusy hops in this. Juicy grapefruit with a twist of orange. Light on the resin, but some piney stuff bringing up the back end. Well-supported, or at least it feels like it is - the hops have a platform, rather than being all out on their lonesome.

Tastes really nice, with enough hop oils and acids so that I won't forget I'm drinking an IPA, but not so much bitterness that I don't want to keep drinking it. In a word, balanced. Bitterness is grapefruit rind, and fades off into the finish right when I want it to. Has an oily warmth that I really like. Quite good.

Medium-bodied, carbonation is low but fairly prickly, and goes very well with the moderate-high bitterness. Finish is not as persistent as many IPAs, which makes me happy.

I find this to be an excellent IPA. The hops stand out, and the malt bill is relatively low, or at least incognito. Great hop smell, great balanced taste. Just really good all around.

Thanks to Millerbuffoon for this one.

A - Pours a medium golden orange color with a fluffy two fingered, rocky white head, and moderate carbonation.

S - Pungent citric rinds and ripe tropical fruit (oranges, mangos, and grapefruit), spicey resinous pine. The nose is all hops and little to no malt.

T - Taste isn't quite as intense as the aroma but still delivers the goods with a hefty dose of hoppiness. Oranges and grapefruit start the sip off before it evolves into a partial resinous piny finish with grapefruit mixed in. The malt bill is light, toasted, and lays super low in the background to let the hops work the palette.

M - Medium body, lingering grapefruit bitterness, and leaves a slight cotton-like coating in the mouth.

O - This is a "fantabulous" and solid IPA that delivers the goods for the hop lovers out there. Definitely worth trying, wish I could buy this one locally.

Thanks misterhops.

Pours a reddish gold, almost slightly pink. Nice big head that reduces slowly, but leaves a film covering the top of the beer.

Smell is quite nice. Loads of hops, like a tropical fruit bouquet. Not really much malt presence to speak of.

Taste is hoppy citrus flavor, maybe a slight grainy backbone. A little bit of a floral character as well. Surprisingly smooth. Almost no bitterness to speak of. I actually would like some more bite to it, but it's very refreshing and pretty pleasant to drink.

Mouthfeel is great. Smooth, slightly creamy, well carbonated.

This is a very good IPA. I'm not familiar with Columbus, but I'd be interested in seeing what else they do.

this one pours a hazy golden apricot color. this is exactly the shade i like my ipa. it has the most carbonation i have seen. the smell is citrus with some dried fruit to it as well. the taste a biting citrus with a strong bitterness that sticks around. it leaves a sticky mouthfeel and has a large amount of carbonation. overall i like this one and the price makes it a go to for sure. it reminds me of the centenial IPA from founders but with less bitterness and cheaper. i have had it on tap as well and it is only better. pick up the six!

Thanks to RocPorterFanatic for getting me this brew!

A: A hazy orange in color, the head is pillowy soft, thick, and plentiful.

S: Awesome hop aroma. Orange, tangerine, and peach come out right away, but behind that is grapefruit and resinous pine. There is a bit of a toasted aroma in there as well.

T: Lots of hops there. Grapefruit and pine dominate, the citrus is cut by an herbal flavor. The flavor finishes with a touch of caramel and toasty biscuit.

M: Medium light in body, the carbonation is fine and abundant. The finish is a little dry, but overall the mouthfeel makes this brew dangerously drinkable.

O: Overall a damn fine beer. The hop flavor is great, and the bitterness is striking, yet not overboard. Delicious, crisp and very enjoyable.
