My awesome trading partner Colby sent me a growler randomly.
Pour is light orange with 2 fingers of head.
Smell is pure awesome grapefruit, pine, deep fruit.
Taste is just f!king fantastic. I'm really blown away here. Did not expect this amount of awesome when I cracked the growler. You have just a potpourri of tropical and citrus fruit with BAM amounts of hops. Minimal malt and extreme freshness. Something special here folks. I would drink this every day and twice on Tuesdays. A must have.
Overall this is something special. Keeps up with the best of them. I'm motoring through this growler like it's a glass of H20 after a 2 day survival mission in the Mohave desert. It's like Natalie Portman bred with Giselle.
Must try. May just be the best IIPA I've ever had.

64oz growler poured into a New Belgium globe.
A - Pours a pale golden color with a slight haze. A finger of fluffy white head lingers on top for several minutes - shows good retention. Foamy lacing is left on the glass with nice rings forming as beer level descends in the glass.
S - Super piney on the nose up front with some lighter citrusy grapefruit and a nice mix of tropical pineapple and mango...a great mix of a variety of hop aromas. A low level base malt aroma manages to sneak thru yielding some light caramel and some bisuity malt aromas.
Super hoppy but still shows a good overall balance, although definitely trending towards the hoppy.
T - A touch sweet. Super fruity and tropical, lots of grapefruit here. Pine really comes on strong here giving the largest hop flavor contribution. Malt is low in the flavor profile but the caramel malt in the aroma also shows thru into the flavor nicely.
M - Body is on the lighter side with a medium carbonation level. Resiny and sticky with tons of pine.
O - A DIPA that has been on my wants list for a long time, which is always dangerous since it is set up to be a letdown. This one definitely was not a letdown. Great hop character, full of flavor and variety from tropical and citrus to the forceful pine presence, this was hoppy all the way. Body is lighter, making this a pretty easy drinker. Shared the growler with one friend and this disappeared very quickly. Alcohol is well hidden here (although making our way thru this growler in short order, we definitely were feeling it at the end).
