On tap at the brewery.
Pours a dark brown, with a one inch head and good lacing down the glass.
Aromas include chocolate, roasted malts, and some mild smokiness.
The flavors are pretty similar- roasted malts first up front, then some mild dark chocolate, followed by a pleasant smoky finish. The smoke is reminiscent of a campfire, and is mild, and not overpowering at all, letting some of the chocolate flavors shine. Great mix of flavors here.
Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation.
One of the 3 better beers from this new brewery, possibly the best one, although the Belgian Dubbel might be better. Not sure.
