Attained from Trader Joe's, Tampa. 6-pack cans. Says on the can: "...doesn't slap you in the face with bitterness."
6.5% ABV .:. 55 IBUs
A: Pours a murky brownish yellow. Not the typical robust copper that you usually get from an IPA, but definitely looks tasty. The head is what really gets me though; a thick, creamy, 3-finger pillow-top was poured into my frosty mug.
A: Getting that piney, resiny scent characteristic of IPA, but also a lot of maltiness with it. Might be the green can, but there may be a hint of sweet lime as well...
F: Good punch in the face of hops, (Centennial?). Not getting much in the way of fruits, but a lot of malty, breadiness too. And no real bitter after-taste! I wouldn't say this is a beer your girlfriend will like, but definitely tolerable to most palates.
M: Moderate level of carbonation, getting a bit of wateriness, but not too bad.
O: Pretty good, drinkable IPA. Doesn't have as much wow-factor as Jai Alai, Two-Hearted, Torpedo, and similar IPAs, but is definitely a great day-drinking choice. Love supporting FL breweries!

July 15 2022. Clear deep amber white heat recedes quickly and leaves some lacing; taste is not bad but no remarkable. Mouthfeel is sharp and tingly.

When in florida, or for that matter any new place, always searching out a new beer.... This Florida IPA is solid.... I would not, as David Letterman used to say "phone the neighbors and wake the kids" .... But pretty good

Poured from a 12 oz can.
L - Dark golden color and some haze. Head is fluffy and off-white and persists as a thick sheet and strong lacing made up of thousands of minuscule bubbles.
S - Strong hops aroma is a blend of pine and citrus; maybe just a bit of pineapple. There is bready malt with some caramel at a lower level, but also a slight vegetal and cardboard aroma that seems to indicate oxidation, although the can was fresh.
T - Strong citrus hops flavor, along with bread at a much lower level from the malt. The finish is dry and hoppy, but there is a slight green bell pepper note that's a bit out of place.
F - Medium body has a strong mouth-coating quality, almost oily. High hops bitterness. Moderate carbonation. Some alcohol warmth. All pretty good for an American IPA, except the mouthfeel is a bit cloying, rather than crisp.
O - This is an OK West Coast IPA, but not a great one. The sample I had displayed a few flaws in the aroma and flavors.

Copper colored colored and not easily penetrated by light. There's a half inch of creamy beige on top. Light lacing. The aroma is of very forward citrus and light malt. I'm tasting plenty of bitter citrus and some light malt. The bitterness lingers a bit after the finish. The mouth is lightly sticky and resinous.

Almost 7 months old and still very tasty. Nothing off about it. Will look for a fresh can in the future to compare.
