My 700 Ba jawn review!

We were going at it since 2pm, brunch time. Started at Standard Tap, then Jerry’s Bar, then Barcade, then Frankford Hall, then El Bar, then… then we were going to call it a night but we walked by this place and it looked enticing enough that we just *had* to go.

What we’ve got here is a two-story place, railroad-style; skinny but long. The first floor is a bar and upstairs there is a stage for live bands. It was packed up there on a Saturday night, but we stayed downstairs and had a good old silly time playing the table games they have around (Hungry Hippo, Surgeon) and drinking some good beer. They also have a pool table and a super basic food menu of fried, greasy pub food at cheap prices.

Sadly there are no beers on tap here, but the bottle selection is pretty serious and generally well-priced. I had a Grapefruit Sculpin! Delicious! They also have a surprisingly large number of winter beers, including vintage Goose Christmas and Fegley’s Rude Elf, plus imperial stouts like Yeti, Rogue Double Chocolate and Stone Master of Disguise. Good bourbons and whiskeys too.

Service was nice and attentive and the place is just warm and fun. Not the best brew joint, but definitely worth a stop or two.
