On-tap at Chapparel Safeway in Scottsdale, AZ - Pint-sized glass:
Pours golden with a thin lasting white head. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of orange with a leafy hop character.
The taste is of juicy orange. Some bread. Bittersweet finish.
It has a smooth, medium body.
A nice orange forward IPA. In-between scores for overall, but I was slightly generous on the smell and taste. Certainly worth drinking though!

This is described as a "Blood Orange IPA." The clear brew is just on the orange side of amber and there's a frothy pile of foam floating in the Leute Bokbier tumbler. Mouthfeel is sudsy and a little sharp. Hops are the main event in the aroma, fruity and piney both.
Flavor of citrus is quite distinct, and if you've had fresh blood oranges you know it's an odd funky taste. Bitter peel, the citrus lingering long, and a bitter aftertaste. A refreshing mouthful if you're in the mood for a bitter IPA. From the 12 oz can.

12 oz can. Pours hazy yellow gold with a big frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet biscuity cereal malt with very little perfumey grassy hops.
The flavor is sweet biscuity malt with a little sugary fruit and grassy piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.
Overall, just OK.

Pours a murky copper with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of candied citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and earthy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with candied citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that seems like it's a bit past its prime at this point, especially in the taste.
