Best session amber ever, IMO. Damn sad to see it is not available.
L: The perfect amber color, more red than copper. Clear and bright
S: Malt, not a lot of hops, medium nose, easy to smell
T: Medium maltiness, not bitter, a cross between an English straight pale and an American amber. A real session beer, enough to keep you interested through a long evening, not enough to keep you diestracted from your long evening.
F: Present. Not filling, not too satisfying, leaves you wanting a bit more. Very easy to drink, doesn't stick around in the mouth long. A drinking beer, not a pairing beer or a discussing beer.
O: Well made, nothing at all to complain about except it isn't made any more.

This was once one of my favorite beers but I cannot find it now. Quite a nice English pale ale but it fails by comparison to American craft pale ales.

As a beer that is a tribute, it does justice. John Courage-the dead heir to the European brewing fortune died in a firey car crash. Actually it was in a formula 1 car of the team he bought. For beer royalty who literally burnt to death where they sat, this beer is for them and is inarguably perfect based on what it is. Drink responsibly.
