Newcastle Brown Ale is a brown ale brewed in Newcastle, England. It's available pretty much anywhere in the US, and is available on tap at several local bars.
I'll tell you this - I've been experimenting with different beers for a couple years, and I figure I've tried about 100 different brands. That being said, Newcastle Brown Ale is hands down my favorite beer. It's best on tap - if you get it in a bottle or can, pour it into a pint glass, so you get a good thick head. Newcastle is absolutely fabulous.
I can go on and on about how great it is, but all that's going to do is delay you from going out and trying it for yourself. If you've never had it, find some place that has Newcastle on tap. It's a little spendier than regular domestic beers, but it's far better. Try a Newcastle Brown Ale and taste the difference.

Disappointing. It says Brown Ale, but it's not brown and you could have given me a Bud Light and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference in taste.
Appearance was nice I had high hopes, poured a gorgeous deep ruby red/light brown color with a decent sized head.
Smell was disappointing. Malt and hops. Slight smell of wheat bread.
Taste was most disappointing at all. I taste literally nothing. It tastes like I am drinking soda water or beer water. Low carbonation makes it feel very thin and watery. Upon drinking one a night later I taste the skunk.
Overall this is bad. Won't be buying again won't be recommending.
