Had this one at a friend's party at a local pub. Decided I would re-try the beer that got me introduced to ales.
Served on tap, it's pretty dark, so all I can see is a dark brown with a thin head. Doesn't smell of much, maybe some basic malt. Mouthfeel is average, a little thin and mild in-between carbonation.
Truly, I can hardly taste it. I was hoping for a filling brown ale and I got brown... but I don't know about ale. I mean, it tastes like beer, but there's something missing. I'm not getting much out of this but some indistinguishable malt and sweetness. I drink down the pint hoping for something to jump at me, but nothing does. I order something else for my next drink.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass.
A - Poured a very clear reddish copper color. Decent enough head that retreats to lacing.
S - Very pronounced European hop note with little malt aroma.
T - Bitter hops with some hint of malt.
M - Medium body with a dry finish.
O - I honestly thought I was drinking a Heineken that someone had colored brown. This really isn't what I expect from a Brown Ale - not say it was bad - just not what I expected.
